Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Systems Coordinator for our Bagdad, Arizona operations to support autonomous mining environments and ensure alignment between virtual models and field operations.

You will validate system accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with pit technicians to optimize haul roads, load plans, and exclusion areas while adhering to safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Proficient in computer operation and application.
• High School diploma or GED.
• 1 year of Systems Coordinator experience.
• Shovel and/or support equipment experience.
• Pit tech experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and refine autonomous mining environments, including haul roads, load plans, dump plans, and exclusion areas.
• Validate system accuracy, identify and resolve issues, and complete troubleshooting to support reliable autonomous operations.
• Use system data and field input to make adjustments within the autonomous environment and support ongoing operational performance.
• Maintain ongoing communication with pit technicians in the field to verify and ensure accuracy of haul roads, load plans, dump plans, and exclusion areas.
• Independently update the system based on field conditions to maintain alignment between the virtual environment and actual operations.
• Create, update, and monitor speed zones, one-way routes, right-of-way rules, and fail-safe controls.
• Evaluate system performance and field input to make adjustments that support safe, efficient, and reliable autonomous operations.
• Review weekly mine audit results, slow/stop reports, and mine model with the Senior Systems Coordinator.
• Identify discrepancies, determine appropriate corrections, and complete updates in the virtual system to improve accuracy and performance.
• Perform system validation and troubleshooting activities.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve issues impacting system performance, escalating complex issues when needed.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Report autonomous-related incidents as soon as practicable and participate in safety meetings, incident investigations, and site safety programs.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Job description

• Performs work to develop, maintain, and optimize autonomous mining environments, including haul roads, load plans, dump plans, and exclusion zones, while validating system accuracy, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing corrective actions to support safe, reliable, and efficient autonomous mining operations
• Utilizes system data, field feedback, and operational insights to make real-time adjustments and continuously improve autonomous system performance
• Maintain ongoing collaboration with Pit Technicians and field personnel to verify the accuracy of haul roads, load plans, dump plans, and exclusion zones, independently updating autonomous systems to ensure alignment between virtual mining environments and current field conditions
• Develop, configure, and monitor autonomous operating controls, including speed zones, one-way routes, right-of-way rules, and fail-safe parameters, using system performance data and field feedback to optimize safety, efficiency, and operational reliability
• Analyze mine audit results, slow/stop reports, and mine model data in collaboration with the Senior Systems Coordinator to identify discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and enhance the accuracy and performance of autonomous mining systems
• Perform system validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution activities by investigating operational and system-related challenges, implementing corrective measures, and escalating complex issues when necessary
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence by complying with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, promptly reporting autonomous-system incidents, and actively participating in safety meetings, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Four (4) years of combined experience in mining, heavy industrial industry, dispatch, fleet mgt systems, or autonomy
• Proficient in computer operation and application

• Strong problem-solving skills and situational awareness in high-risk environments
• Effective communication and coordination skills across technical and operational teams
• Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude
• The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge. Score of 80% or higher is required.
