Job summary

REDPATH MINING is seeking an Automine Electrician responsible for maintaining and optimizing the Automine system and associated equipment. This role ensures continuous operation of autonomous mining systems through preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate has a strong electrical background with a minimum of three years of experience in underground mining, as well as the ability to manage system integrity and support the training of other electricians.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ electrician experience in an underground mining environment.
• Experience with automated or remote-controlled mining systems.
• NFPA70E certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Automine systems.
• Execute Preventative Maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with operations and planning.

Skills

Strong understanding of electrical systems

Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Communication skills

Ability to read electrical drawings

Education

Preferred university, college and/or trade school

Additional training in automation systems

Tools

Maintenance software systems
