Job summary

REDPATH MINING seeks a Chief Electrician to direct electrical underground and surface teams, oversee installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems, and ensure safety compliance on mining projects. The role includes design input, procurement, budgeting and coordination across departments to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• 10 years in industrial or construction electrician role with 5 years in underground mining
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
• Must have valid driver's license and driving record
• Proficient with computers and software

Responsibilities

• Directs activities and tasks of electrical underground and surface personnel
• Inspects and assigns duties; manages schedules and layouts
• Maintains records of projects, costs, and materials
• Oversees procurement, equipment selection, and design efforts
• Ensures safety policies and regulations are followed
• Coordinates with other departments to ensure project success
• Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
• Reviews safety procedures and ensures compliance with OSHA/MSHA/EPA standards
