The role reports to an Engineering Leader and involves spending substantial time on the plant floor to drive continuous improvements. You will collaborate with leaders and teams to optimize processes, layouts, and tooling, while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; preferred majors include mechanical or manufacturing technologies
• At least five years of manufacturing engineering experience
• General understanding of process controls, PFMEA
• Experience with CI initiatives: scrap reduction, efficiency improvements, downtime elimination
• Project management skills: timelines and budgets
• Basic 2D and 3D modeling
• Mechanical aptitude
• Microsoft Excel proficiency

Responsibilities

• Collaborate globally with sister sites to share best practices
• Track KPIs and drive production metrics
• Lead CI projects across budgets and timelines (2-6 concurrent)
• Analyze capacity for designated area
• Troubleshoot on the factory floor up to 50% of the time
• Assist new model engineering with startup prep and line changes
• Optimize layouts and CAD models for fixtures and gauges
• Train associates on production, quality, and engineering procedures
• Address quality issues by identifying root causes and countermeasures
• Provide flexible support as needed
