Job summary

Capital Medical Group seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join its inpatient Palliative team. The APP will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to hospitalized patients, collaborating with physicians and an interdisciplinary team across the DMV region.

The role emphasizes daily rounds, treatment plan development, care coordination, and transitions of care. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and prioritization in a fast-paced hospital setting are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate NP degree from an accredited program.
• Current national certification for the NP profession.
• Current or eligible state licensure to practice as an NP.
• Prescriptive authority and controlled-substance registration as required.
• Current or eligible DEA registration where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations.
• Evaluate and manage hospitalized patients in collaboration with the care team.
• Develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on clinical findings.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family education and ensure timely documentation.
