Job summary

Superior Hospice is seeking a compassionate Hospice Visit Nurse (RN) to join our team in Bethel, ME. This part-time role offers autonomy in the field, with support from an experienced leadership team and a path to full-time as patient volume grows.

You will conduct routine hospice visits in patients' homes or care settings, perform assessments, manage symptoms, educate families, and document care in EMR. An active RN license and reliable transportation are required; prior hospice or oncology

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Hospice or end-of-life care experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine hospice visits in patients' homes and other settings.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and symptom management.
• Deliver wound care and medication education.
• Support patients and families through the hospice journey.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and the team; complete EMR documentation.
