Job summary

Cullerton Group in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a Systems Engineer 3 to support development, testing, and validation of autonomous haul truck systems used in mining applications. The role involves validating command-and-control software, troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, and ensuring reliable performance during proving ground operations on second shift.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent testing/development experience in control systems or autonomous technologies.
5–7 years of relevant experience, or 3 years with a Master's degree.
Hands-on testing of autonomous or industrial systems highly valued.
Experience with debugging, system validation, and root-cause analysis.
Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and execute system validation activities, test plans, procedures, and validation reports for autonomous haul truck software and control systems.
Perform hands-on testing of autonomous machine systems including hardware, software, and networks to identify issues.
Investigate and troubleshoot software and system failures, identifying root causes and validating corrective actions.
Support installation, configuration, integration, and quality assurance of autonomous hardware and software.
Analyze testing data, benchmark performance, and collaborate to improve reliability and release readiness.
