Job summary

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is required.
• Hands-on experience with ArduPilot or similar flight controllers for configuration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Mission Planner for mission planning, configuration, and telemetry review.
• Experience with UAS integration, sensor calibration, and test protocols in field/lab environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of diagnosing complex faults.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of reporting clearly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
• Valid driver’s license (driving record background check).

Responsibilities

• Configure, tune, and validate flight controllers and supporting hardware.
• Operate flight control software for mission planning, telemetry review, and data analysis.
• Perform system integration and testing, including HIL testing and sensor calibration.
• Execute R&D and flight testing following strict procedures and checklists.
• Maintain aircraft systems and ensure readiness of equipment.
• Document flight activities, logs, and test reports with precision.
• Manage ground and air risk in CFR 14 Part 107 compliance.
• Apply root cause analysis to anomalies and hardware/software faults.
• Assist with design and improvement of procedures.
• Travel locally to position site as needed.
