Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Flight Software Engineer to design, develop, and own the autonomous software for our satellite buses. You will work on mission critical systems operating 24/7 and collaborate with internal teams and customers to meet requirements and timelines.

You will contribute across the full software lifecycle, perform thorough testing, and help ensure reliable operation during launch, early operations, and steady state missions. Candidates must be a U.S.

Qualifications

• 2.5+ years of total flight software experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE or equivalent.
• U.S. Person status is required to access export controlled data.
• Experience with real time systems on distributed hardware.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux, Yocto, and Linux distributions.
• Familiarity with CCSDS/ECSS protocols, Protobuf, and encryption.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and own mission critical software for satellite systems.
• Support commissioning of spacecraft during launch and early operations.
• Own software solutions through full lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Perform unit/integration/system testing and resolve defects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to baseline requirements and roadmaps.
