Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. is seeking a Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer to develop, integrate, and test core flight autonomy capabilities across Group 1-5 aerial platforms, collaborating across the company to bring core GNC algorithms into software and product stacks for commercial and defense applications.

The role involves writing software for autonomous aircraft (real and simulated), building robust architectures, and partnering with DoD experts and UAS vendors to deploy autonomy

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aerospace, Robotics, EE, ME, CS or similar field.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience developing GNC software for autonomous systems.
• Experience with C++ or Python for autonomy algorithms.
• Experience with outer-loop control systems or path planning.
• Experience modeling 3DoF/6DoF air vehicles for GNC.
• Experience with flight testing and data analysis.
• Experience with UAS GNC/navigation such as PixHawk and ArduPilot.
• Strong programming skills in multiple paradigms; Git, GitLab, and VS Code.

Responsibilities

• Write software for real autonomous aircraft systems and simulators.
• Build and improve aerial autonomy software architectures for deployment.
• Collaborate with DoD experts and UAS vendors to integrate autonomy software onto hardware.
