Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. seeks a Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer to develop, integrate, and test core flight autonomy capabilities across Group 1-5 aerial platforms. You will work with teams across the company to embed core GNC algorithms into software and product stacks for commercial and defense applications.

The role emphasizes hands-on C++/Python development, flight testing, and collaboration with DoD experts and UAS vendors to deploy autonomy solutions on OEM hardware.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in aerospace, robotics, EE, ME, CS or related field.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience developing GNC software for autonomous systems.
• Experience developing autonomy algorithms in C++ or Python.
• Experience implementing outer-loop control systems or path planning.
• Experience modeling 3DoF/6DoF air vehicles for GNC development.
• Experience with flight testing and data analysis.
• Experience with UAS GNC/navigation systems (PixHawk, Ardupilot).
• Strong programming in multiple paradigms (functional, procedural, OO).
• Experience using git, VS Code, GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Write software for autonomous aircraft systems including F16 and UAVs and simulators.
• Build, leverage, and improve autonomy software architectures deployed on real systems.
• Collaborate with DoD domain experts and UAS vendors to integrate software onto OEM hardware.
