Job summary

TRUCKING PEOPLE is seeking a Logistics Driver – Flatbed Tow Operator (Class C) in Austin, TX. The role involves safely recovering and transporting autonomous vehicles, operating flatbed tow trucks, and coordinating with dispatch to keep deliveries on schedule.

The ideal candidate has a Class C license, a clean driving record, and comfort with DOT regulations. This is a full-time, contract position with a 3:30 PM–12:00 AM shift and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• DOT regulatory knowledge and Hours of Service familiarity.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds and operate large vehicles safely.

Responsibilities

• Safely recover and transport autonomous vehicles in the Austin area.
• Operate flatbed tow equipment, loading, unloading, and winching.
• Maintain DOT logs and complete pre/post trip inspections.
• Communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Follow safety policies and vehicle maintenance routines.
