Job summary

General Motors is seeking an Autonomous Driving System Integration & Validation Intern in Warren, MI. You will contribute to bringing up complex AV systems, develop test automation in Python, and analyze results across hardware and software teams.

You will collaborate with software, hardware, systems, safety, and vehicle engineers to ensure reliable performance and to support root-cause investigations during the 12-week summer program, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or related STEM field.
• Must graduate between December 2027 and August 2029 with at least one semester remaining after internship.
• Experience programming in C++ and Python or other OO languages.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional bring-up and system integration on benches and subsystems.
• Evaluate interactions across compute platforms, ECUs, sensors, and software.
• Run functional, performance, and validation tests using simulation, HIL/SIL, benches, and on-road fleets.
