Job summary

General Motors is offering an on-site internship in Milford, Michigan, reporting to the AV Systems, Sensing and Integration team. You will contribute to developing and validating advanced driving capabilities across the vehicle lifecycle, including sensor hardware, software features, and vehicle systems engineering.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or Computer Science, with Python or MATLAB experience, and are available for full-time, 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics, System Design, Mechanical, Chemical or equivalent).
• Coursework or project experience in Python or MATLAB embedded microcontrollers.

Responsibilities

• Support system engineering, integration, automation and simulation development.
• Define use cases, safety goals and performance metrics for sensing systems.
• Help develop dashboards, data mining and analytics to support validation.
• Develop scripts to automate testing in-vehicle and on benches.
