Job summary

General Motors in Warren, MI seeks an Autonomous Driving System Integration & Validation Intern to assist in bringing up subsystems, evaluating cross‑domain interactions, and driving test automation across simulation, HIL, SIL, and on‑road fleets.

You will analyze results, document findings, and support root‑cause investigations while collaborating with software, hardware, and safety teams. Elevating autonomous driving capabilities is the focus.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in a STEM field.
• Graduating between December 2027 and August 2029 with at least one semester remaining.
• Experience programming in C++, Python or similar OO language.
• Interest in hardware, embedded systems, testing, or AV software integration.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional bring-up and system integration on benches and subsystems.
• Evaluate interactions across compute platforms, ECUs, sensors, and vehicle software.
• Run functional, performance, and validation tests using simulation, HIL, SIL, and on-road fleets.
• Develop Python-based automation and testing tools to accelerate cycles.
• Document results, analyze data, and support root-cause investigations.
• Contribute to test pipelines for HIL/SIL and datasets/scenario libraries.
