Job summary

General Motors Corporation in Milford, Michigan seeks interns for AV Systems, Sensing and Integration. You will contribute across systems engineering, integration, automation and simulation development to validate autonomous driving features.

You will define requirements, help design interfaces, and support calibration and testing across benches and development vehicles. The program targets students in CS or Engineering with Python or Matlab experience and an interest in embedded systems.

Qualifications

• Working towards Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics, System Design, Mechanical or equivalent).
• Coursework or project experience in Python or Matlab or embedded microcontrollers.
• Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week; valid driver's license; transportation to Milford Proving Grounds.

Responsibilities

• Define use cases, feature & sensing system requirements, safety goals, performance metrics and system interactions.
• Support system architecture development and interface definitions; collaborate with platform and software teams.
• Prepare acceptance test plans and develop dashboards while performing data mining and analytics.
• Develop scripting to automate testing in-vehicle and on benches; execute functional bring-up and system integration.
