Job summary

General Motors is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Test Engineer at Milford Proving Ground in Michigan. You will plan, execute, and report AV testing, translating objectives into clear test plans and procedures, and delivering actionable evidence to engineering customers.

Responsibilities include closed-course regression, feature and behavior validation, data collection, vehicle readiness, and collaboration with AV Ops, Vehicle Integration, software and systems teams. Travel ~10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and executing tests for autonomous-vehicle or complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and apply test procedures, requirements and safety controls.
• Strong collaboration and technical reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute autonomous-vehicle testing; translate objectives into practical test plans and procedures.
• Conduct closed-course testing including vehicle prep, scenario execution and post-run closeout.
• Coordinate test requests, track readiness, and manage resources with AV Test Engineering and cross-functional teams.
• Monitor vehicle health and data quality; triage issues and report to engineering teams.
• Support test preparation activities and maintain detailed records of test assets and results.
