Job summary

General Motors seeks an Autonomous Driving System Integration & Validation Intern to join the AV Platform team in Warren, MI. You will contribute to the integration, testing, and validation of software and hardware powering autonomous vehicles.

Collaboration with software, hardware, and safety engineers is essential; you will develop test automation in Python, analyze results, and help improve reliability across simulation, HIL, SIL, and on-road testing.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS, EE, CE or related STEM field.
• Graduating between Dec 2027 and Aug 2029 with remaining terms.
• Experience in C++, Python, or OO languages.
• Interest in hardware, embedded systems, or automated testing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional bring-up and system integration on subsystems and benches.
• Evaluate system interactions across compute platforms, ECUs, sensors, and vehicle software.
• Execute functional, performance, and validation tests using simulation, HIL, SIL, benches, and on-road fleets.
• Develop Python-based automation and supporting tools to improve testing efficiency.
• Analyze test data, document results, consolidate findings, and support root-cause investigations.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, safety, and vehicle engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
