Job summary

River Oaks Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, part of The Ed Napleton Automotive Group, is seeking an Automotive Warranty Clerk responsible for processing, submitting, and tracking manufacturer warranty claims.

You will prepare, submit, and follow up on warranty paperwork, verify criteria with factory or distributor, keep abreast of recalls, and reconcile warranty receivables with the accounting team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive warranty admin experience preferred.
• CDK experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, submits, and follows up on warranty claims.
• Processes warranty paperwork with proper documentation and verifies criteria required by factory or distributor.
• Keeps abreast of factory recalls and announcements.
• Reconciles warranty receivables and coordinates with accounting to obtain payments.
• Maintains warranty records and documents for warrantor compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepares, submits, and follows up on warranty claims
• Processes all warranty paperwork, ensuring proper documentation and verifies criteria required by factory or distributor
• Keeps abreast of all factory recalls and announcements
• Arranges for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor and resubmits all rejected claims promptly
• Assists with body shop warranty claims and follows up on outstanding claims
• Reconciles all warranty receivables and works with the accounting department to obtain payments
• Keeps track of all warranty parts by noting the repair order number, date of replacement and date on which part may be disposed
• Maintains all service and customer records as required by the warrantor
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous Automotive Warranty Administrative experience preferred.
• CDK experience highly desirable.
• Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational ability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
