American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer for the Underbody Design team to develop automotive body structures and components.

You will collaborate across divisions to balance performance, styling, manufacturability, profitability, and design constraints while utilizing a range of materials and production processes. The role involves creating 3D models and drawings in CATIA, negotiating with internal contacts, and leading supplier development activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years relevant experience.
• CATIA or other 3D CAD software; self-motivated, organized, multitasker, effective verbal and written communication.

Responsabilités

• Create and manage creation of 3D models, layouts, and 2D drawings using CATIA.
• Correlate and negotiate with internal Honda contacts including other design departments, test departments, styling studio, factories and purchasing.
• Lead part development activities with suppliers, setting design targets and confirming prospect to achieve requirements.
• Support part and vehicle verification, including developing countermeasures as necessary.
• Estimate and manage part cost, weight, and investment throughout development, including review of supplier quotes.
