Job summary

Sonic Automotive, Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented Titles & Payments Specialist for our Central Buying Solution. You will process titles, obtain supporting documentation, and resolve lien payoffs across our dealer network.

Key duties include tracking and coordinating title corrections, processing ACH payments, reconciling accounts, and providing administrative support to management and vendors. A high school diploma, experience in automotive dealership operations, and ability to pass

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CDK a plus; dealership accounting preferred.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Good interpersonal, email and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literate with accurate data entry skills.
• Self-motivated with prioritization and organizational abilities.
• Flexible schedule including some Saturdays/evenings.
• DMV knowledge in CO/CA/NC/TX a plus.
• 1–3 years of auction/wholesale experience desirable.
• Authorized to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Track and coordinate title corrections and lien-related documents.
• Coordinate with intercompany locations and vendors for titles.
• Track auction purchases/sales and bill stores via ACH.
• Wholesale title and sister store reassignments.
• Resolve lien payoff discrepancies.
• Review and initiate payment for lien payoffs.
• Organize paperwork and verify VIN, cost, year, make, model.
• Load units into dealer locations.
• Reconcile accounts and schedules weekly.
• Post invoices and issue payments.
• Provide administrative support to management and vendors.
