Job summary

Koons Tysons Chevrolet Buick GMC is seeking a Title Clerk to handle the legal transfer of documents between the dealership and the DMV, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of title work. You will examine contracts, prepare and submit tax and title documents, verify funds, and stay on top of county and state regulations, while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience working in a busy office environment required
• Previous automotive Title Clerk experience preferred
• Automotive accounting or CDK experience a plus
• ActiveNotary Public certification is a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective communication skills required
• Team-oriented and comfortable in an open office setting is required
• Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test)

Responsibilities

• Examine contracts to assure conformity to specified requirements
• Process all new vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled
• Prepare tax and title documents
• Submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles
• Verify that funds have been collected before processing title applications
• Process paperwork in a timely manner
• Comply and maintain a complete list of all outstanding title work
• Stays abreast of county and state title regulation requirements
• Understand deadlines and is able to apply the appropriate sense of urgency to tasks
• Other duties to be determined by management
