Job summary

Moss Motors, Inc in Lafayette, LA is seeking a full-time Title Clerk/Accounting Staff to manage vehicle titles, registrations and related documentation within the accounting office.

You will also assist with accounts receivable and misc accounting tasks while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, with pay commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive titles REQUIRED
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with accounting software is desirable
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Process and manage vehicle titles, registrations, and related documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to resolve title and billing issues, including out-of-state title work when necessary.
• Monitor and notify management of any changes to processes and regulations regarding title work.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all title transactions and accounting entries.
• Assist with accounts receivable tasks, miscellaneous data entry and occasional errands.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties to support the finance team.
• Support month-end closing activities and financial reporting as required.
