Job Overview

Responsible for ensuring the appropriate tires are in stock and available for customer purchases. Tasks include dismounting large quantities of tires and separating wheels/rims for sale and recycling.

Essential Job Duties

1. Proficiently use required equipment such as tire balancers, mounting equipment, and maintain such equipment.
2. Ensure equipment is maintained and materials are handled safely.
3. Recognize acceptable and defective tires and wheels, marking them appropriately.
4. Determine when to repair or replace tires, wheels, and other parts; clearly communicate work performed to customers.
5. Follow company policies on attendance, safety, teamwork, and training.
6. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Self Service Duties

1. Operate forklifts or loaders to move cars within the yard.
2. Clean debris from cars before processing.
3. Extract batteries for testing and resale; bring charged batteries to retail area.
4. Assist loader operators in staging or pulling cars.
5. Walk the yard to remove debris from vehicles.
6. Dismantle tires.
7. Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
8. Adhere to EPA and OSHA regulations.
9. Wear all required PPE.
10. Follow company policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Not responsible for supervising employees.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

0+ years of experience required. Full service warehouse experience preferred, with on-the-job training to learn duties, procedures, and equipment.

Preferred Requirements

High School Diploma or GED; forklift certification is beneficial.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing).
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate simply and clearly.
• Follow standard procedures with no complex decision-making.
• Guided by supervisor's instructions and priorities.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or sitting for extended periods. May work in hazardous conditions, cramped spaces, or underneath vehicles. PPE may be required. Exposure to extreme temperatures and noise is possible. Periodic travel, including overnight stays, may be necessary. Must lift up to 75 pounds.
