Position Overview

The Assistant Team Leader supports the Store Team Leader in managing the front-end operations, leading a passionate sales team, and ensuring excellent customer experience. Responsibilities include associate development, customer service, asset protection, and store maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing payroll, expenses, store banking, shrink reduction, and related reports to meet financial goals.
  • Demonstrate Ollie’s “Yes I Care, Yes I Can” behaviors in customer and associate interactions.
  • Maintain store standards and company programs.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the store's front-end, entrance, and exterior.
  • Assign daily tasks to associates and monitor productivity.
  • Perform opening and closing functions when needed.
  • Support hiring, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years retail management experience with a mid to large retailer.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid Driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Push and pull up to 35 pounds.
  • Stand for extended periods and work safely.
