Job summary

BRANCH ISD is seeking a Para Professional to support automotive/diesel technology instruction in a school setting. The role requires a high school diploma and relevant Michigan/National automotive certifications, with at least two years of related experience or training through secondary or post-secondary programs.

The incumbent will assist instructors with demonstrations, prepare materials, manage attendance, and help create a conducive learning environment while adhering to district policies

Qualifications

• Understand written and oral instructions.
• Demonstrate verbal/written communication in supervision and teaching of students.
• Learn new automotive/diesel technology.
• Explain repair manuals and computer program information to students.
• Take direction from the professional.
• Present to students effectively.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly and accurately in writing and speaking.
• Report student concerns to supervisor or other school personnel.
• Complete assignments and paperwork on time with minimal supervision.
• Assist other personnel as needed.
• Demonstrate logical problem solving and teach students to meet objectives.
• Prepare equipment, materials, and supplies for student learning.
• Assist Program Manager with attendance, demonstrations, and scheduling.
