Qualifications

• AAS in Automotive Technology is required.
• At least 3 years of professional work experience in automotive service.
• ASE Master Certification or the ability to achieve within one year of hire.
• Experience teaching in campus and/or online environments is desirable.
• Proficiency with dealer management software; ability to integrate technology into instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging hands-on instruction in classroom and lab settings on topics such as automotive fundamentals, transmissions, engine diagnostics, repair, and light diesel.
• Develop and update curriculum aligned with industry standards and incorporate instructional technology.
• Use the learning management system to manage content and student engagement.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and certification standards.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors to ensure a cohesive instructional approach.
• Enforce safety, attendance, conduct, and professional appearance policies.
• Maintain records, manage lab equipment and inventory, and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Assist with outreach, recruitment events, and other public relations activities to promote the program and college.
• Perform additional instructional duties as assigned.
