Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and an automotive technology diploma.
• Preferred: associate degree or higher and an automotive technology diploma.
• ASE certification is preferred (based on qualifications).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates effective oral and written communication in the Automotive Technology field.
• Develops and reviews program syllabi, goals, and objectives per approved standards.
• Evaluates and monitors students' progress toward goals.
• Instructs, advises, and counsels students; maintains advisement records.
• Maintains safety in classroom and lab environments.
• Maintains supplies and equipment; submits budget requests.
• Supports program certification and accreditation requirements.
• Participates in staff development, recruitment, and job placement efforts.
• Demonstrates teaching techniques, testing, and grading procedures.
