Chattanooga State Community College, part of the Tennessee Board of Regents system, seeks a 9-month tenure-track Instructor in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer and Power Systems. The role focuses on classroom, lab, and curriculum development at the Chattanooga State campus.

The successful candidate will teach electrical engineering technology, computer systems, embedded systems, digital controls, and power systems while fostering industry partnerships and workforce

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electrical Engineering Technology or related field (or equivalent).
  • Experience or knowledge in electrical/electronic systems, embedded systems, and power systems.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree and teaching/workforce training experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach lecture and laboratory courses in electrical engineering technology, power systems, computer systems, embedded systems, and digital controls.
  • Develop and maintain curriculum aligned with industry standards for power systems, SCADA, and smart grid tech.
  • Deliver engaging instruction to support student learning and success.
