Group 1 Automotive in Morgan City, LA is seeking a Technician Trainee to join our service team. You’ll learn with hands-on training while helping with lubrication services, inspections, and basic maintenance.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, using modern equipment and earning pay based on experience plus bonuses, with benefits including health and 401(k) and paid time off. This role offers growth into technician levels within Group 1 Automotive.

Responsibilities

• Perform lubrication services (oil, transmission fluids, filters) safely.
• Inspect the customer’s car and refer repairs to the Service Advisor.
• Operate and maintain lubrication equipment.
• Keep the customer’s car clean.
• Maintain an organized, neat shop area.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure lifts and equipment are in proper working order.
• Demonstrate the company’s values in all interactions.

Overview

Group 1 Automotive is a fast-growing leader in automotive retail, and we are looking to add qualified Technician Trainee!

Responsibilities

• Perform all lubrication services (changing oil transmission fluids and filters) in a safe manner.
• Perform thorough check of customer’s car (i.e. check additional fluid levels, battery, lights, tire pressure) referring all needed repairs and preventive maintenance to the Service Advisor.
• Operates and maintains all lubrication equipment.
• Ensure that the customer’s car is kept clean.
• Maintain an organized and neat shop area.
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Make certain all equipment is in proper working order, especially the lifts.
• Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors.
