Job summary

Group1 Automotive, Inc. is seeking a qualified Automotive Technician/Mechanic in Gulfport, MS to perform repairs and diagnostics to dealership standards.

You will road-test vehicles, maintain a clean work area, and communicate repair status clearly to service advisors. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license in the state you will work with a good driving record.
• ASE certification(s) or certification in brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred.

• Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record
• National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s) or certification(s) in different specialized areas such as brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening
