Job summary

Monro, Inc. is seeking a General Service Technician in the Roanoke area to perform basic vehicle services and repairs to Monro standards. The role is hourly and available as full-time or part-time, with opportunities to advance based on performance.

Responsibilities include tire and vehicle services, safety‑driven inspections, inventory support, and general store duties. Company benefits and certification reimbursement accompany this position, with emphasis on guest satisfaction and quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Automotive training including basic car maintenance and repair or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform basic vehicle services and repairs in accordance with Monro standards.
• Tire Services - wheel removal, balancing, patch/plug repairs, mounting and TPMS service.
• Vehicle Services - lubrications, oil changes, basic maintenance, battery testing and installations.
• Complete Monro's Courtesy Inspection process on every guest vehicle, identifying additional needed services and repairs.
• Assist in inventory management to include pulling tires and parts, unloading and stocking inventory.
• Assist with all general store duties, ensuring the store is clean and guest ready.
• Maintain safety standards including wheel torque and oil safety procedures.
• Test drive vehicles per policy and local laws.
• Adhere to company policies and governmental environmental standards.
• Complete required training modules at Monro University.
