Job summary

Monro, Inc. is hiring a General Service Technician to perform basic vehicle repair and maintenance in our New Bern location. The role is hourly, available as full-time or part-time, and emphasizes clear communication of issues and solutions to guests while meeting time and quality standards.

You will work with Monro standards, support inventory, and follow safety procedures to ensure guest ready vehicles. Prior automotive training and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Automotive knowledge and basic maintenance skills required.
• Ability to perform basic services and repairs per standards.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform basic vehicle services and repairs to Monro standards.
• Tire services including removal, balancing, patch/plug work, installation, and TPMS.
• Lubrications, oil changes, basic maintenance and battery testing/installation.
• Complete courtesy inspection on every vehicle and document additional needs.
• Assist with inventory, stock tires, unload and stock parts, and keep store clean.
• Follow safety standards and Monro procedures, including road test policy.
