The hourly range for this role is $18-$22 per hour Guaranteed Minimum and $28-$40 Flat Rate based on experience.

You must understand that you are coming on to help drive sales and guest count. What I am looking for is a professional technician who wants to help fix and grow a shop. Must be detail-oriented and able to coach and train entry-level techs. Must have your own tools. Must have a valid driver’s license. I am looking for a team leader and team player.

The Technician role is full-time or part-time and is an hourly position based on the needs of the business. The Technician is primarily responsible for conducting basic vehicle diagnostics and performing routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. This position is expected to deliver exceptional 5-Star service to our guests, through effective communication of vehicle issues and proposed solutions, as well as consistently meeting guest expectations for time commitments and quality.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform basic vehicle diagnostics to properly identify required repairs.
2. Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection process on every guest vehicle, identifying, documenting, and communicating additional needed services and repairs; audit courtesy inspections performed by General Service Technicians.
3. Assist in inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking inventory.
4. Assist with all general store duties, ensuring the store is in excellent condition and maintained to Monro standards for cleanliness and guest readiness.
5. Perform services in accordance with Monro’s safety standards, including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures.
6. Test drive vehicles following Monro’s Road Test policy, using designated routes and maintaining traffic and safety laws.
7. Adhere to company policies, governmental standards, environmental codes, and OSHA standards, ensuring safety standards are followed.
8. Maintain technical knowledge through completion of Monro University training courses and modules.
9. Operate and maintain equipment safely, including lifts, welders, brake lathes, etc., following manufacturer guidelines.
10. Perform other duties as assigned and required.
