Job Description

As an Automotive Technician at Monro, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain guest vehicles. You will participate in a comprehensive training program from day one, preparing you for career growth. Your role is vital in delivering 5-star guest experiences by ensuring safe, reliable transportation.

The hourly pay ranges from $15-$20 guaranteed, plus $20-$35 flat rate based on experience. Additional incentives and compensation are available.

Responsibilities
  • Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and other automotive repairs within your qualifications.
  • Obtain guest approval for work after diagnosis and maintain a clean work area.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Test drive vehicles and utilize shop resources safely.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide leadership to General Service Technicians.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of automotive technician experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Own a basic set of tools or participate in our tool purchase program.
  • Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Guest and team-focused mindset.
  • Maintain Automotive Technician State Inspector’s license, if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASE certification in at least one area (A1-A8).
  • Automotive Technician State Inspector License.
  • Technical school certificate or degree.
