Job Description

As an Automotive Technician at Monro, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining guest vehicles. You will participate in our comprehensive training program from day one, preparing you for a successful career. Your role involves performing repairs, ensuring customer approval, maintaining a clean work environment, and contributing to a team dedicated to delivering 5-star guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and other automotive repairs within your qualifications.
• Obtain guest approval for repairs based on diagnostics and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Test drive vehicles and safely operate shop equipment for inventory pickup.
• Collaborate with team members and provide leadership to general service technicians.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years of automotive technician experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Own a basic set of automotive tools or participate in our tool purchase program.
• Ability to work overhead, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Guest-focused mindset and team-oriented attitude.
• Maintain an Automotive Technician State Inspector’s license, where applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certification in at least one area (A1-A8).
• Automotive Technician State Inspector License.
• Technical school certification or degree in automotive technology.
