Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking an Auto Maintenance Technician II to perform preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and diagnostics in a busy shop.

This on-site role requires a valid driver's license for both manual and automatic transmissions and offers an hourly pay range of $24.23–$36.35, plus a $1,500 New Hire Tool Bonus and potential incentives.

Work is day shift with no remote option; enjoy training and a path to advanced diagnostics within a safety-focused Cox facility.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (or 3+ years of related work experience).
3+ years of vehicle service and repair experience.
Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

Performs Preventive Maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspection of the vehicle for mechanical deficiencies.
Based upon certification levels, performs various repairs and maintenance including OBD II systems, brakes, tires, tune-ups, suspension, electrical, emissions, HVAC, engine, etc.
Keeps shop area clean and tidy; follows safety standards; disposes fluids per regulations.
Creates and maintains vehicle history and maintenance records; may up-fit vehicles with equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Performs light to major repairs; advanced vehicle diagnostics; coordinates with vendors for parts; provides roadside assistance when needed.
Uses equipment for diagnostics and fabrication tasks; replaces general automotive parts and accessories; conducts diverse vehicle diagnoses.
