Job summary

Napleton's Valley Hyundai in Illinois seeks a skilled Journeyman Technician to repair and maintain customer vehicles to dealer and factory standards. You will build trust with customers through accurate diagnosis and reliable repairs, contributing to a busy shop handling 100+ cars daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Journeyman Technician.
• Ability to diagnose and repair to specifications across brake/hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, suspension, A/C and electrical systems.
• Willingness to undergo background check and meet policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications in areas such as brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition and electrical, suspension and A/C.
• Clearly explain needed repairs to customers and staff.
• Continuously update technical skills through training to stay current with automotive tech.
• Keep management informed of repair issues as they arise.
• Maintain an organized and neat service bay.

We are looking for Journeyman Techs that are looking to join a busy shop, servicing over 100 cars per day!!

Located at Napleton's Valley Hyundai, theTechnicianisresponsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effective vehicle diagnosis and repair.

Job Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Adequate explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers as required.
• Continuously update technical skills and techniques in formal training sessions to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
• Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintains an organized and neat service bay

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Journeyman Technician required.
• Ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is process-driven
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
