Job summary

Genesis of Carmel seeks an Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance to dealer and factory standards. Located at Napleton Genesis of Carmel, the technician will diagnose issues and build customer trust through accurate service.

Qualifications

• Automotive service experience required.
• ASE certification desirable.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• 18+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per repair order.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals including customers.
• Keep up-to-date with factory bulletins and training opportunities.
• Maintain an organized work area and inform management of repair issues as they occur.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
