LeoForce is expanding in the Metro Detroit area with a brand-new service center and a need for experienced Ford technicians.

The role requires Ford Factory Certification and at least 5 years of Ford-specific repair experience, with MI certification being preferred or obtainable on relocation. Expect a structured shop, modern equipment, and a strong customer base.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of current Ford technician experience.
• Ford Factory Certified is required.
• Michigan State Certification or willingness to obtain MI board certification on relocation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• ASE Certification preferred.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle inspections, troubleshooting, and testing to determine repairs.
• Diagnoses malfunctions and performs repairs to engines and electrical/mechanical systems.
• Verifies serviceability via test drives and system adjustments.
• Maintains a clean, organized work area and documents all work performed.
• Communicates with Service Advisor on additional work needed.
• Manages parts/supply inventory and ordering.

Salary: $40 - $50 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

A well-established, high-volume automotive dealership group in the Metro Detroit area is opening a brand-new service center and expanding its technician team. This is a ground-floor opportunity to join a newly built facility with modern equipment and a strong existing customer base.

The Flat Rate Technician diagnoses and performs repairs on all vehicle components with efficiency, accuracy, and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer/factory standards.

Essential Functions

• Performs vehicle inspections, troubleshooting, and testing to determine required or recommended repairs
• Accurately diagnoses malfunctions and performs necessary repairs, including engine failures, mechanical/electrical system malfunctions, and part replacement
• Examines assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is needed
• Verifies vehicle serviceability via test drives and system adjustments
• Keeps customer vehicles clean during the repair process
• Contains costs by using warranty coverage and evaluating service/parts options
• Communicates with Service Advisor/Dispatcher on additional work needed
• Assists Service Writer with work orders, test rides, and customer interaction as needed
• Manages parts/supply inventory and ordering
• Maintains a clean, organized work area
• Documents all work performed/recommended per operating procedures
• Stays current on automotive technology and terminology

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of current experience as a Ford technician
• Ford Factory Certified (required)
• Michigan State Certified (or willingness to obtain MI board certification upon relocation)
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
• ASE Certification preferred
• Ability to lift 35-50+ lbs with assistance as needed; prolonged standing; repetitive motion
• Must pass background check (references required) and drug screening

Work Environment

Automotive shop environment; covered workspace with exposure to varying weather conditions and typical shop noise levels.
