Job summary

Elkhorn Motors Inc is seeking an Experienced Service Technician to join our expanding service department. You will diagnose vehicle concerns, complete repairs, and ensure every job meets manufacturer standards. Ford certification is a huge plus and ASE certifications are welcome.

Qualifications

• 2 years of service tech experience at a dealership.
• High school diploma or equivalent schooling.
• Ford certification a huge plus.
• ASE or other OEM certifications a plus.
• Strong diagnostic abilities across engines, electrical systems and transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs listed on repair orders accurately and efficiently per standards.
• Perform road tests and diagnose using factory diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes and HVAC.
• Communicate additional repair recommendations and estimated completion times with Service Advisors.
• Perform warranty repairs per Ford procedures and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs listed on repair orders accurately and efficiently while following dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Perform road tests and inspect vehicle systems using factory-approved diagnostic equipment and specialized service tools.
• Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, electrical components, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Work closely with Service Advisors by communicating additional repair recommendations, estimated completion times, and any unexpected findings.
• Perform warranty repairs in accordance with Ford factory procedures and specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent schooling Required.
• Ford certification a huge plus
• ASE or other OEM certifications a plus
• B-Level technical abilities, including diagnostics, electrical systems, and engine repair.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use electronic diagnostic tools and modern repair equipment effectively.
• Good computer proficiency and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to continue learning and developing technical skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment.
• Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to quickly learn updated repair procedures, new technologies, and manufacturer specifications.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
