Don Pierson Ford - Lincoln, Inc is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to join our growing team in Spencer, IA. You will perform repairs on repair orders, diagnose issues, and communicate with customers and service advisors to estimate times for additional work.

The ideal candidate has ASE and Ford certifications, 2+ years of experience, and a valid driver’s license. We offer competitive pay, health benefits, 401(k), paid time off, growth opportunities, and a no-weekends schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ford Certification a plus.
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
• Dexterity, steady hand and hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills with electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude and eagerness to improve.
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment and collaborate.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on repair orders with efficiency per dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and inspect components using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering and more.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional services and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
