Job summary

Conicelli is seeking an Experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose complex issues, perform high-quality repairs and deliver exceptional service. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and performance of customers' vehicles, with a focus on detailed diagnostics and proactive maintenance.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of technician experience, a high school diploma or GED, ASE certifications preferred, and knowledge across braking, engine, electrical, HVAC, and transmissions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as an automotive technician in a professional setting.
• Proven track record diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
• ASE Master Technician certification preferred.
• Knowledge of hybrid or electric vehicle systems preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced Automotive Diagnostics using specialized equipment to accurately identify vehicle malfunctions.
• Executes comprehensive Engine Repair, including rebuilding components and tuning for optimal performance.
• Services and repairs all types of Brake Systems, including ABS, ensuring vehicle safety.
• Conducts Electrical Systems Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing wiring, sensors, and ECUs.
• Performs Suspension & Steering Repair, replacing shocks/struts and power steering components.
• Performs Transmission Repair, including fluid flushes, component replacement, and overhauls for auto and manual transmissions.
• Diagnoses and rectifies HVAC System Repair issues for proper heating/cooling.
• Implements Preventive Maintenance services to extend vehicle lifespan.
• Completes Vehicle Inspections to identify problems and recommend repairs.
• Communicates effectively with service advisors regarding status and estimates.
• Maintains a clean, organized work area and adheres to safety protocols.
• Keeps up-to-date with automotive technology and repair techniques.

• Services and repairs all types of Brake Systems, including ABS, ensuring vehicle safety and compliance.
• Conducts thorough Electrical Systems Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing wiring, sensors, and electronic control units.
• Performs intricate Suspension & Steering Repair, replacing components like shocks, struts, and power steering systems to restore handling and ride comfort.
• Undertakes Transmission Repair, including fluid flushes, component replacement, and complete overhauls for both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Diagnoses and rectifies issues within HVAC System Repair, ensuring proper heating and cooling functionality.
• Implements detailed Preventive Maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks, to extend vehicle lifespan and prevent future breakdowns.
• Completes meticulous Vehicle Inspection to assess overall condition, identify potential problems, and recommend necessary repairs or services.
• Communicates effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status, repair needs, and estimated completion times.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company standards.
• Stays current with automotive technology and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development.

Education

• Holds a high school diploma or GED.
• Possesses vocational school certification or an Associate's degree in Automotive Technology.

Experience

• Has a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an automotive technician in a professional setting.
• Demonstrates a proven track record of successfully diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle makes and models.

Physical Requirements/Work Conditions

• Lifts and moves heavy objects, often exceeding 50 pounds.
• Stands, walks, bends, stoops, and kneels for extended periods.
