Job summary

Big O Tires Store - Jefferson Street in Jefferson City, Missouri is seeking Automotive Technicians to diagnose, repair, and service customers’ vehicles. The role includes maintaining service quality, coaching teammates, and meeting productivity targets.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum two years experience as a lube/tire/service technician.
• Current Missouri Motor Vehicle Inspection License (for Missouri stores).
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
• Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to exchange accurate information with customers.
• Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform brake, front end and alignment maintenance and other mechanical work per company policies.
• Diagnose and repair customers' vehicles and ensure quality control of shop functions.
• Train and coach other employees as directed by store policy.
• Maintain orderly flow of customer service assignments to ensure productivity.
• Extend Big O’s Extra Care Services to all customers.
• Attend weekly store meetings to review safety, policies, and product changes.
• Work with management to meet budgeted service-related quotas.
• Ensure all information for completed work is provided for invoicing.
• Utilize company outside purchase program to maximize profitability.
• Complete daily training and vehicle inspection program as required.
• Meet established service, sales and productivity goals.
• Assist in organizing, documenting, and processing adjustments and core credits.
• Adhere to all company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
