Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair and recondition vehicles to meet safety standards. You’ll work with a team in a climate-controlled facility, using advanced tools to service engines, brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications in Steering/Suspension, Brakes, HVAC, Electrical, Engine Repair, Drive Train, Engine Performance, and Transaxle.

Responsibilities
