Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet safety and reliability standards. You will work in a modern, climate-controlled facility, using advanced tools and collaborating with a skilled team to restore confidence for customers.

This role requires experience with engines, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC, plus strong health and safety awareness and the ability to lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing engines, steering and suspension components, brakes, and HVAC.
• Strong health and safety compliance knowledge.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license; ASE certifications as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet CarMax safety standards.
• Collaborate with a team to solve technical challenges quickly.
