Job summary

Foss Motors Inc in Exeter, NH is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform repairs and maintenance with efficiency and adherence to dealership standards. The role involves diagnosing, testing, and repairing vehicle systems using diagnostic tools, and communicating with the Service Advisor about estimates and additional work.

Qualifications

• ASE certified and strong automotive background.
• Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle systems.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to read diagrams, use diagnostic tools, and interpret data.
• Strong knowledge of automobile maintenance and repair procedures.
• Willing to submit to drug screening and background check.
• Valid driver's license and clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work per the repair order with efficiency and adherence to dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and AC.
• Communicate estimated time and needed additional work to the Service Advisor and customers.
• Perform warranty repairs per manufacturer specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
  
  
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• ASE certified
• Strong automotive background
• Strong teamwork skills
• Ability to identify problems quickly
• Good knowledge of automobiles
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
• Must have clean & valid driver's license
