Job summary

Foss Motors in Exeter, NH is seeking an experienced automotive technician to diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles. You will follow repair orders, test components, and communicate with the Service Advisor about additional work.

The shop is fast-paced with ongoing training and a strong team environment. Responsibilities include diagnosing systems, performing repairs to manufacturer specs, and ensuring quality service.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of automobiles.
• Effective analytical and communication skills.
• Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
• Willing to learn new technology and repair procedures.
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Willing to submit to drug screen and background check.
• Must have clean and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, AC.
• Communicate with Service Advisor regarding additional services and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
