Job summary

Russ Darrow Waukesha Kia is seeking an Automotive Technician/Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, using advanced tools and dealership standards.

No experience? No problem — we provide training from the ground up with manufacturer and ASE certification opportunities, and ongoing paid training, supported by a culture of growth and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Clean, valid driver’s license.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a passion for learning.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous automotive repair experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic, adhering to dealership and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, steering, and suspension.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
  • Conduct test drives and inspections to confirm proper repairs have been completed by the automotive technician team.
  • Provide accurate labor and time estimates for repairs, collaborating with service advisors and parts advisors.
  • Clearly explain mechanical diagnoses and necessary repairs to the service advisor.
  • Stay updated on new automotive technologies and best practices through formal training sessions and certifications.
  • Inspect and test new vehicles, documenting findings to ensure all repairs align with mechanic and technician standards.
