Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic Service Technician to join our team in Niles, OH. This full-time role is Monday through Friday, day shift with no weekend or holiday work.

You will install and service vending and merchandising equipment at client locations within a designated area. Ideal candidates bring strong mechanical and technical aptitude, the ability to diagnose and repair equipment, and good communication with clients and team members.

Qualifications

• Experience in repairing vending or related equipment preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older to operate a company vehicle.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Good interpersonal skills for client and team communication.

Responsibilities

• Install new equipment at client locations within a designated area.
• Educate the client on how to effectively use new equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on vending and merchandising equipment.
• Build and maintain client relationships and order parts as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Install new equipment at client locations within a designated area
• Educate the client on how to effectively use new equipment
• Execute minor vending equipment repairs
• Remove outdated and unused equipment
• Test vending equipment to ensure proper function
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on vending and merchandising equipment
• Build and maintain client and customer relationships
• Order parts needed to complete repairs

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Previous experience in the repair of automated vending and merchandising equipment or small appliances preferred
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Technical ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and make appropriate repairs
• Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with team members and customers
• Valid Driver's License (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment when needed
